Controlled Burn Information
Ordinance #1997-2, the Burning Ordinance, outlines the Township's requirements for open barrel burning.
Before burning, contact the Northampton County 911 non-emergency at (610) 759-2200.
Controlled Burn Tips
-Always burn in a metal barrel with a screen on top of barrel
-Have a garden hose stretched out when available
-Do not burn when windy or hot / low humidity
-Be sure to call Northampton County Non-emergency to report a controlled burn prior to burning
-Do not leave burn barrel unattended
